![]() ![]() (First of all, hi everyone reading this, I'm still new to Reddit, so not having that much experience here, maybe I can screw it up on occasion, so you know ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯)Īm I the only one who thought that Ace Combat: Infinity could have lasted much longer? It is clear that they had to close it for some reason or another, but, it is not something uncomfortable to think that it was called "Infinity" and basically it was not?, I mean, I understand that nothing is forever, but I would have loved that it had been, and I doubt I'm the only one who would have liked it. So, for those who played the game, how was it? Was it a fun, "balanced" adventure that wasn't too miserable as a free player, or was it secretly a P2W abomination? Since the game was F2P, I imagine that's where Bamco made mot of their money. The sortie system also gives the impression of being a little Byzantine, too. That being said, while the gameplay looked fun, looking on Acepedia leaves the impression that leveling up aircraft was both a grindfest and quite costly in terms of credits needed. (Edit: And the inlcusion of PvE missions in general!) ![]() Raid missions also looked like a good time, especially the ones against the upgraded SOLG. Also the inclusion of bomber aircraft seemed pretty neat, as well as the special variants of aircraft that were used by other characters. It seemed like even the boatiest of planes could pull maneuvers I could only dream of, and agile planes seemed to fly like UFOs. The first thing I noticed in terms of gameplay was the movement of aircraft and missile behavior. I never got a chance to play the game as the servers have been offline for quite some time now. ![]() I've recently been watching a bunch of old AC:I videos on Youtube just because they started showing up on my feed. ![]()
